¡Contexto! (?)

I'm still not sure I understand. Is it that "talla" is about a specific size ... small or x-large, etc. or size 14, etc.? And "tamaño" is a general abstraction - a huge house, a very tall man?

Use 'talla' when talking about clothing sizes. Use 'tamaño' for everything else AND when talking about clothing sizes.

By the way, outside of Mexico and Spain, they also use (or exclusively use) 'talle' instead of 'talla'.

Interesting... "talle" is used in Spain in this sense (for custom made clothes): (DRAE)

Otherwise, yup, "talla" is the common term.

I'll take note about that use of talle.
