Use of double pronoun

im quiete confused with the use of pronouns in spanish. for instance the sentences " le dijo a el", "me gustan a mi" used double pronouns. would there be a change in meaning if one just states "dijo a el" or le dijo, or me gustan, or gustan a mi?

The extra pronoun is there for emphasis where there's no ambiguity, like in 'a mí me gustan las manzanas', or it's there for clarity where there is a chance for confusion, like in 'le dije a él' (the indirect object pronoun in the third person is ambiguous, so the indirect object should accompany it to clarify which individual you mean).

You should note that there are accent marks on some of those pronouns. While writing here in the forums, there's an 'Accents' drop-down menu just above where you type. You can insert the accented vowels that you need to use from that menu.
