@laepelba: ¿nos puedes decir en tres oraciones de qué trata tu programa de televisión favorito?

Angelica - ¿Qué significa "de qué trata"?

Me gustan mucho todos las programas de televisión de la investigación de crimen. No sé porque. Quizá está el paso rapido. También, a veces miro una telenovela en español, aunque no lo entiendo más ... me gustan los personajes.

I want to asnwer your question above de qué trata"?

Look. The sentence formed for Angelica has as meaning (It is above what)

For example, I'm going to the Doctor and he told me. Jorge tell me above is your visit to the doctor, you are sick.

I hope you can understand me.

No - sorry, Luis - I don't understand your meaning. I understand the rest of her sentence (at least I think I do), to mean that she's asking me to tell ya'll in 3 sentences about my favorite television program. Is that correct? But I still don't have any idea what "de qué trata" means..... Sorry, I'm a bit thick sometimes.

Nice exercise, laepelba!

A little more practice in writing will help you feel the language better.

(1) "¿De qué trata?" = "What is it about?"
(2) If you would use the word "why" in English, always use "por qué" in Spanish.
(3) When you determine a cause, you can only use the verb "ser". In this case (with "quizá"), it would be well understood either using it in indicative or subjunctive, and you can also omit the preposition "por".
(4) If you say "no lo entiendo más" it means you don't understand it anymore. If you want to say "I don't understand it well", it should be "no lo entiendo bien".
(*) Be careful with distractions: you already knew "programa" was a masculin from "programa favorito". And you wrote well "todos", so "las programas" could have been avoided.

If you agree, we can do it again. The idea is that you feel comfortable in writing about something you like, whenever you want to do it, and don't get stressed over it... it will be easier for you to concentrate on it if you feel relaxed.

My suggestion for the next time is this (you can change the subject if you wish):

Yo vi algunos capítulos de CSI: Las Vegas, cuando el jefe del equipo se estaba quedando sordo y lo iban a operar... ¿Tú sabes si la operación resultó bien?

Angelica - GRACIAS!!

En CSI: Las Vegas, sobre el jefe (Grissom) quedando sordo: pienso que la trama (¿como se dice "story line"?) abandonaba antes de la conclusión.

(Did I make any sense there at all?)

I'd love more practice "assignments".

Luis - it wasn't your examples that were bad, it is my brain. Could you use "de qué trata in some Spanish sentences now? I WILL understand this time!!
