Gracias.

Please correct any grammatical errors that there are in this sentence. Also, I´m struggling with when to hook an S on certain words when speaking to a friend, which ones am I supposed to do this with?

Here are my suggestions:

Hace fresco hoy => Hace frío hoy / Está fresco hoy / Hace friecito hoy

Cuando does not need an accent unless your using it to ask a question.

And finally, here's how I might say the whole thing. It's biased toward Mexican Spanish (use of chamarra etc), so you might take it with a grain of salt, but it might also help:

No , , two tiempo too near, it sounds bad

other opptions (all good, like yours or tomissimo's)

<- OK for me!

I say it so ( casual way)

formal way.
