Hang in there!

It's definitely tough at first but if you stick with it you'll see progress. A lot time the material is boring but I've found it helpful to watch movies I like in Spanish.

I agree. It's a brilliant movie.

By the way, isn't the on in thinking on quitting the wrong preposition?
I know that in the south of the United States thinkin' on is used in place of thinking about, but it's dialectical.

Is thinking on used in Britain?

I've never heard it - only ever "Thinking about" and "Thinking of". "Thinking on" would be regarded as idiosyncratic in Britain I'd say, and to the purists - wrong!

I really must try to improve my English - mind you I've only been learning it for seventy years! You can't be expected to pick it up all at once, can you?

As for me, my English is quite passable, but sometimes the me, I, she, her, he him pronouns make me pause. I know I'm not the only one, and I'm sure I get it wrong sometimes.

Yeah..., it's not that easy.
My mom used to say (in Spanish, of course)

"Los primeros 100 años son los peores..."

"Think on it" isn't used around here either but i've definitely heard it on tv. It's like saying "Sleep on it"

Three years and a few months is a long time to let go of the hard work you already did! I imagine I would get discouraged one time or another, but like the other learners said, I can always go back. I just wouldn't let go of what I have already learned.

(This is my first post btw, sorry to have jumped straight in. The topic caught my eye!)
