Gusta vs gustan

Me gusta 'The Beatles'.
Me gustan 'The Beatles'.

Si hacemos referencia al grupo o a la música, tiene que ser 'gusta', ¿verdad?

Creo que no es normal el caso del verbo en singular. Para usarlo así, debería ser una oración explícita: "me gusta la música de The Beatles".
