Hormiga

This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for October 18, 2008

hormiga - feminine noun (la) - ant. Look up hormiga in the dictionary

¡Ojalá que fuéramos tan fuertes como las hormigas, que pueden cargar varias veces el peso de su propio cuerpo!
I wish we were as strong as ants, who can lift several times their own body weight.

My 2 cents:

How about 'ser una hormiguita'?

Means work hard, as ants do, or be good at saving.
