Asegurar vs. asegurarse (to make sure)

She makes sure they have enough food.

Debe ser ...

(Ella) Asegura que tienen suficiente comida.

Ó ...

(Ella) Se asegura que tienen suficiente comida.

¡Gracias!

"to make sure" = "asegurarse de que....." (uses the subjunctive here")

Debe ser ...
(Ella) Asegura que tienen suficiente comida. This sentence means "she maintains/assures/guarantees that they have enough food"
Ó ...

(Ella) Se asegura que tienen suficiente comida. This sentence is wrong, it should be "Ella se asegura de que tengan suficiente comida"

That is the right translation to your sentence: "she makes sure they have enough food

¡Gracias!

¡Aaahh!
