Don't worry, Crotalito, I like working as a team. Anyone's corrections are encouraged and welcome. Anybody advising will receive a virtual virgin olive oil toast, with Spanish ham or fresh tomatoes and garlic.

These days, step by step, fields further from villages going first, temporary pickers withdraw earlier and earlier from the harvest sites, and the mills are full of fresh olives, with that strong scent that strikes your memory, impossible to be copied or refined by Italians.

Es el momento de rendir homenaje a una riqueza que Andalucia y España tiene de mas, y Jaen provincia a rabiar. Hacia marzo los bares empezaran a poner el aceite del año para las tostadas, autentico placer gastronomico.

It's time to render admiration to a Spanish, Andalusian treasure that in Jaen province (where planet hopper was born), is everywhere. Around early March, you will be able to find the new year oil at the bars for ham or tomato toast, which is a gastronomic jewel.

Pido desde aqui a la gente que este aprendiendo el idioma, que culturiceis a vuestro circulo social en este tema, que el buen aceite de oliva es espaniol, y andaluz (casi na).

I hereby claim from people studying Spanish in other countries, that you teach your friends about Spanish olive oil, about the good one being made in Andalusia, in Spain (olé).

Un abrazo desde las colinas a las que cantaba Machado, entre Ubeda y Baeza, adonde mi corazon ha volado esta noche convertiendose en una lechuza curiosona.

Hugs from the hills in Machado's poem, between Ubeda and Baeza towns, where tonight my heart flew away disguised as a lively owl.

I told you, I need to found much word, I didn't know above, but I did my best endeavor, if you have time, please you correct me because, I know to have mistakes inside of the same structure of the text wrote for me.

You did a good job, Crotalito, now watch for corrections from more people and compare your text and my text (in English). And have a good breakfast, because you won two big pieces of toast, one with olive oil, rubbed garlic, salt, and rubbed fresh tomato, and the other one with olive oil and fresh cut jamon serrano, the one aged up in the mountains.

I take my hat off for you and for everyone in this forum, my friends.

The word tajo is used for the spot (line) where the pickers would be picking up. It means cut, because the manager would draw a sharp line, a cut, in a landscape that is all the same, just trees lined up. That line is the limit: on the right, trees already picked, on the left, trees to pick. The pickers go along the line twice or three times a day. Tomorrow the line (el tajo) would start somewhere else, depending on the manager (el manijero). With the sunset, the pickers return from the tree line of that day (tajo).

I'd like to point out that the poem Andaluces de Jaén was written by Miguel Hernández, one of our most famous poets, who died when he was in prison because of the Civil War. Jarcha sings his poem.

Here's my

It is during these days that little by little and depending on whether the fields are closer or further away from the town, the pickers return a little earlier every day from the cut, and the presses are full of fresh olives with that particularly strong smell that seeps into your memory and which the Italians will never be able to copy or refine.

It is the time to pay homage to a wealth that Andalucía and Spain has in abundance and that the province of Jaén is rolling in. Towards the month of March the bars will start to provide the oil harvested that year to pour onto toast, an absolute gastronomic delight.

And it is an absolute pleasure to have morning toast with freshly pressed olive oil.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Memories of Jaén with miles upon miles of grey land, every shade of grey possible, with green olive trees as far as the eye can see. Driving through this landscape is amazing.

And you don't put tomato sauce on it too? Salsa romanesco?
