Unhappy Correct Sentence

okay, so how would be the best way to say this sentence in spanish.

I'm excited to go to the zoo

Would it be:

Yo estoy entusiasmado por ir al zoologico.

or

The first one literally translates to I am excited for to go to the zoo...just doesn't seem right.

The second one translates to I am excited because I am going to go to the zoo.

So which one is correct? Or are they both?

Thanks guys!

Both are OK.
The first one is the "common" translation
¿que te pasa?
estoy entusiasmado por ir al zoologico. (estoy contento porque voy al zoo,a ver a Los Reyes Magos, a ver a mis abuelos)
The second is an answer

saludos

Hi,

You could also say "Estoy emocionado(a) de ir al zoologico" right?

Regards
