Please help

The guy I've been seeing for awhile now speaks spanish and english but tonight he told me "te quiero mucho" and I thought that meant I love you alot but a friend told me that it only means I want you alot. Can someone help me out here?

That sentence is a literal phrase mean I love you alot.


But the mean depend of the person who told you that.

If he was saying it in Spanish (and you don't speak Spanish), I'm sure he meant that he loves you very much.

Literally that is translated as "I want you alot" but it is meant to mean "I love you alot"
