Man of the Beatitudes

Contexto:

Why has that day [New Year's], for its motto— “Good will to man,” so that whichever way one turns he is hailed with good wishes, the fulfilment of which would make him “a man of the Beatitudes.” [from a text by Mrs. Sedgwick, 1838]

¿Por qué tiene ese día, por lema: "Buena voluntad para el hombre", de modo que a cualquier lugar que uno vaya/torne es recibido/aclamado con buenos deseos cuyo cumplimiento lo convertiría en un hombre....

No creo que sea la mejor traducción para " good will to man" tampoco, así que necesito ayuda para las dos expresiones.

Me parece que la autora mezcla también los pronombres one y he/him

Las dos frases son referencias a la Biblia, y la primera concretamente a la así llamada "Traducción Autorizada" del rey Jaime, así que el mejor lugar para encontrar la frase equivalente en castellano es la traducción de Reina y Valera. Casi lo tienes: buena voluntad para con los hombres.

En cuanto al título, "the Beatitudes" son una serie de frases que empiezan «Bienaventurados los que...». No sé si tienen un nombre específico en castellano, pero si la traducción no tiene por que ser textual podrías emplear «le harían un hombre de los bienaventurados».

Sí, pero está bien dicho. «One» es indefinido, «he» es definido, y pone un poquitín de hincapié en que es la misma persona referida. También podría haber usado «one ... one ... one». Es un poco como el decir o no el pronombre en español cuando ya queda claro por la forma del verbo: no es necesario, pero da un toque de énfasis.

encuentra con
...

Bueno saber que en inglés sí se puede decir.
