i believe the corresponding phrase in english is "to live like a king".

maharajá/marajá:Ambas formas son válidas.
Aunque las dos voces son correctas el uso culto prefiere la primera. Los plurales son maharajás y marajás. Su femenino es maharaní, preferible en el uso culto, y marajaní. El plural de las formas femeninas es maharanís o maharaníes y marajanís o marajaníes. |

I agree— "to live like a king" would probably be the most common expression in English.
