awitarme seems wrong what possibly could that word be aquita arme maybe? or

I think your initial word is correct....

awitarme
ahuitarme

either or........

feel bad
depress me
let it get me down

I guess it would be agüitarme, from agua (deshacerce) (ponerse aguado) (blando)
