Overwhelming odds

Hi,

From Context Reverso:

Despite the overwhelming odds, the team fought on, determined to give no quarter.

A pesar de las probabilidades abrumadoras, el equipo luchó con determinación de no dar cuartel.

Is it a correct translation? Las probabilidades abrumadoras look suspicious for me. In fact, I can't tell, unfortunately

In English, odds has a connotation of poor chances, whereas probabilidad must be neutral.

Odds in English is often neutral. Example: The odds look good for her/ the odds look bad for her.
I think it would sound more natural to use probabilidades enormes as a translation.

A pesar de unas probabilidades marcadamente adversas,...
A pesar de sus pésimas chances,...
A pesar de tener todo en su contra,...

...el equipo continuó la lucha,...
...el equipo siguió luchando,...

...determinado a no dar cuartel.
...con la determinación de no dar cuartel.

Thanks!

But the original translation: is it quite satisfactory, to your taste?

I don't like it at all. It's no the thing a native speaker would say unless the native speaker learned Spanish in a home located in an English speaking country.
