Como usar el verbo 'Tentar'

escuché esta frase en una canción...

Que a mi me tientas el corazón, Que se parte en dos el alma

traté traducir esto en inglés:

That to me you tempt me the heart, that breaks the soul in two

Esto no hace sentido ¿Puedo conseguir poco ayuda con esta frase?

Esto No tiene sentido. ¿Puedo conseguir un poco de ayuda con esta frase?
You don't have the correct Spanish lyrics.
That first part should be:
Que camina a tientas el corazón

caminar/andar a tientas = walk/go/proceed with uncertainty / walk by touch / grope
