Ahorramos disciplinadamente

Does "ahorramos disciplinadamente" mean to be diciplined (or something similiar)?

The sentence is "Podemos hacernos ricos si ahorramos disciplinadamente". I can't seem to find any reference of the phrase actually being used. Perhaps "ahorramos disciplinadamente" is a rarely used figure of speech?

"... if we save with discipline" was the intention, but the writer used an adverb instead of the simple 'ahorramos con disciplina'.

None of my dictionaries contain the adverb, by the way.

Many adverbs ending in "-mente" are not in the dictionary as these are very "obvious" for the Spanish natives.

The usage of "disciplinadamente" in Spanish though, is well documented. CREA (Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual) gives 79 examples. One of these (from Argentina) is this,

Una experiencia que no debe ser desechada muestra que respuestas equivocadas malograron esfuerzos serios por encarrilar disciplinadamente la economía.

Moliner Dictionary of Usage defines it as Rusty does, "con disciplina".

The Oxford dictionary doesn't seem to contain disciplinedly either, but I can find a few examples of its usage in highbrow writing, particularly theatre criticism.

Interesting... the Spanish word is a relatively common usage, no highbrow register at all.
