Lacio
This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for April 19, 2009
lacio (adjective) — straight, limp, languid, withered. Look up lacio in the dictionary Mi novia tiene el cabello bien lacio. My girlfriend's hair is perfectly straight.

"Lacio" se suele aplicar al pelo prácticamente siempre, al menos en España. Aunque lo he mirado en la RAE y dice que también significa débil o marchito, yo siempre lo he encontrado refiriéndose al pelo liso. No sé cómo será en otros países.

Para mi pelo lacio tiene una connotación negativa, mientras que liso es más neutro (same as straight).
