Conjugating the Imperfect Past Tense
Hola,
I have a few questions regarding my Imperfect Past tense conjugations in my practice questions. I have put it together to the best of my abilities and am 90% sure that I conjugated correctly. Could somebody please go over the below short attachment (1 page) to see if I have indeed correctly conjugated in the appropriate tense. The reason i am confused is due to the context of the question itself. Gracias, - Dwight |

You have mistakes with traer and gustar. Think of "to like" in Spanish, do we like things or are better pleased by the things themselves? and, who brought those presents?

Hi
My Profe didn't elaborate on who brought the present. I assume it is a mistake in the typing of the question and think it was the father. When you say traer and gustar. What conjugations did you have in mind? |

There is no typing mistake and you are right that the father is the one bringing presents, but your answer is wrongly conjugated. Also, check who visited the grandparents.
"Nos gustábamos" means "we liked each other", but that's not what your missing verb should say. The pronouns (like "me", "te", "le/les", "nos") for the verb "gustar" are the person(s) to whom the thing is pleasing and the subject of the verb is the pleasant thing itself. Check this thread to see examples on how it's constructed.

So would this be correct:
Nos gustaba (gustar) mucho ir a los partidos de fútbol y siempre la pasábamos (pasar) muy bien. As for the verb traer: . Nuestro padre viajaba (viajar) mucho con su trabajo y siempre nos traían (traer) regalos cuando volvía (volver) de sus viajes. |

Very good.
"Traían" is still wrong. And check "visitar" too.
