It's not that I question the wisdom of doing a market survey. I just don't think when we'd make such a statement in English that the word "market" would me assumed. That's all.

I want to set a business of cars and well if I want to have success, I should to do a test in the street as a kind survey to see if I can do a test market public.

@Lou Ann: "Sondeo" feels like a technical word, so the context provides the rest.

Btw... The sentence could have also been: "Antes de poner un negocio, debes hacer un estudio de mercado para saber si vas a tener éxito".
In that case, "estudio de mercado" is necessary, because "estudio" is a much more equivocal word.

Mercadeo = marketing

"Estudio de(l) mercado" significa analizar quiénes son los posibles clientes y los posibles competidores cuando se quiere ofrecer un producto o servicio.
Nunca he visto "estudio de mercadeo"; a primera vista me suena a un error tratando de decir "estudio de mercado". Pero si existe sin error, para mí querría decir que se hace un estudio de las opciones de publicidad para un determinado producto o servicio.
