Quería desearles un feliz año a todos los que habitan el Hemisferio Sur.

De todas las fechas tradicionales para el comienzo del año, que van del 7 al 24 de junio según la cultura, el solsticio de invierno, ocurrido hace una hora, es la más común, junto con el amanecer de las Pléyades.

Entre otros lugares.

En Chile, por ejemplo, los mapuches festejan el We Tripantu o la "nueva salida del sol", o sea, el solsticio de invierno. Exactamente igual que la Navidad, que coincidía con el solsticio de invierno del Hemisferio Norte.
