Best way to say "pop"

You know like some people say pop and some people say soda, what is the best way to say it in Spanish? refresco o gaseoso o soda? ???

Wow, that´s a good question. It depends the region, for example in North of Mexico (where I live) we say: Soda; in Mexico City it´s called: refresco, but in general you ask for the brand, this is, You sk for a Coca Cola, Sprite, Seven Up, Fanta, etc.

That´s the way we use in Mexico.

Lot's of people say soda pop, is there some way of saying that in Spanish would it be soda refresco?

soda refresco wouldn't work. Just use refresco.

That's correct. "Refresco" is the generic term (no "soda" in Spain), but you usually go with the brand.

And it can be really funny when you hear someone ask for a "esprite" or a "siete u pé"
