From what I saw in an internet search, muebles de escayola isn't furnature. It looks more like plaster furnishings or built-in plaster shelving.

I wasn't sure. I've seen furniture, e.g. a coffee? table with a glass top and a base which looked like marble, but turned out to be plaster cast. Also fake Greek columns and the like, made out of plaster, so I assumed he meant that sort of thing. He does keep us guessing doesn't he?
