"Have one's eyes on something"

Por ejemplo

She has had her eyes on those shoes for a year now

Ella ha tenido sus ojos en esas zapatillas ya por un año

Traduzco muy literal, pero quizá funciona. No sé..

There are probably several ways to say this, just like there are in English if you just express the idea instead of using the idiomatic expression.

She's wanted to buy those shoes ...
She's been thinking about buying those shoes ...
etc.

If you translate the idea, you'll be understood just fine. When you can't think of the idiomatic expression or set phrases in your own tongue, you just describe the idea. Sometimes, your listener will provide the phrase you're trying to remember (si hay).

Besides the ideas above, here's one way to say it:

Lleva un año con ganas de comprar esos zapatos.

Probably Rusty's last example is the best...

But other option, "echar el ojo a" ("to throw the eye to..."!) means more or lesss to "have one's eye on..."

Hace un año ya que le echó el ojo a esos zapatos
Lleva un año desde que le echó el ojo a esos zapatos...

Además de las que Pablo y Rusty hablan, en Chile también se usar "poner el ojo"

Le tiene puestos los ojos a esos zapatos, por meses ya.

Y no hay que olvidar a Lucky Luke, que donde pone el ojo pone la bala...

¿O ese era otro?

Lucky Luke era el que disparaba más rápido que su sombra... pero eso es otro tema.
