Girl! You go girl!

In the U. S. there is this expression "you go girl!" or "girl!" but this is only used among female friends or peers who are socially well acquainted with one another.

girl! is used to address a close friend or peer during conversation and always used in a pleasant manner.

you go girl! is used to express approval or encouragement.

A lot of times girls say it to other girls like if a girl slaps a guy who was being mean to her or cheating on her or something her friends might say "You go girl" or even if a girl gets a good discount at the store or something her friends might say to her "You go girl!" like that. I've never just heard "girl" used though. You go girl is a very common phrase in the situations I listed.
