"Sentimental value" in Spanish
In english we say an item has "sentimental value", referring to some untangible value it holds to one particular person but not to others- usually some item that has a nice memory associated with it. How would you express this in spanish? For example, a cup that you have owned for a long time and it has sentimental value to you.

En el uso general, "valor afectivo" y "valor sentimental" se usan igualmente aunque no son sinónimos perfectos. En un contexto legal y como valor expresable en dinero que no corresponde al precio de mercado o al costo de reposición, "valor afectivo" es más utilizado, si no el único -no puedo asegurarlo-.
