Practice Paragraph

gracias

Tengo una perra que se llama Lola. La rescaté de la protectora (protectora is the place where abandoned dogs are kept).

It's easier for me rewrite the whole paragraph.

Sweets are no good for dogs.

Lola has been lucky.

I couldn't figure out how to say dog treats. What word would you use instead of sweets?

Why is it "se llama"? Doesn't se llama mean "she calls herself"? I thought it would be "I call her" because she's a dog and can't call herself anything. I see that I'm wrong but I'm not sure why.

Also, I actually did rescue her from a vet's office and not the dog pound.

Thanks for the corrections!
