Hi! Thanks for providing your own translation attempt. It is always helpful, and appreciated.

The English sentence is in the passive voice. The passive voice isn't used as much in Spanish as it is in English. The best translation will not be in the passive voice, in other words.

What meaning does your verb 'haunt' have (persists, troubles, makes anxious, worries, frequents, scares, disturbs, visits, be in the company of, ...)?

That is what I want to know

@ Rusty - What does the author want to say with that phrase?

If we don't know what meaning of haunt the author had in mind, we can't very well come up with a proper translation.
Context is everything. Perhaps more context would help us know what the author intended.

If context doesn't help, you would have to assign the meaning that you think best fits and translate. I wouldn't use the passive voice, though (which is a conjugation that takes the form ser + participio pasado). I would use 'me ... el alma el sueño de otros días' (active voice, insert the meaning of haunt that you chose).

I asked b/c

I asked because my native language is Spanish. I am new here and did not
realize this forum is for non-native speakers of Spanish. After I returned yesterday I realized my error.

This forum is also for non-native speakers of English, so no error was made on your part. Welcome to the forums!

Any of the suggested meanings, except 'visits' and 'be in the company of' could be a good meaning for 'haunts', from what I can tell. Si tienes más contexto podemos dar en el clavo.

@ Rusty - thank you

Here is the phrase in context.

THE POET'S ISLE.
by REBECCA S. NICHOLS.

All night long, my soul is haunted
By a dream of other days—
Of a flowery Isle, enchanted,
Hidden from the fierce sun’s rays;
Lighted by the softened splendor
Of a holy, harvest moon,
And the saint-like eyes, so tender,
Glowing at the midnight noon.

There is the added problem to the difficulty of it being a poem and written in
the mid 19th century.

Since the dream of the island seems to be a pleasant one, only 'recur', 'frequent', 'remain with' or 'linger' would be good interpretations. Haunt may have meant something more in the mid-19th century than it does today.

No siempre
significan brillante, salvaje y con fair no sé si quieren decir bonito o rubio o justo.

Ahí va un intento (a bote pronto y sin pensar mucho) por si te ayuda:

THE POET'S ISLE.
LA ISLA DEL POETA (¿DE LA POETISA?)

by REBECCA S. NICHOLS.

All night long, my soul is haunted
By a dream of other days—

Durante toda la noche, mi alma se ve asediada
Por un sueño de otros días

Of a flowery Isle, enchanted,

De una Isla con jardines floridos, encantada,

Hidden from the fierce sun’s rays;
Oculta de los fieros rayos de Febo (el Sol)

Lighted by the softened splendor
Iluminada por el claro y suave resplandor / esplendor

Of a holy, harvest moon,
De una luna sacra, de una luna de la siega (o del equinocio, o lo que mejor rime)

And the saint-like eyes, so tender,
Y unos [los] ojos beatíficos, tan tiernos,

Glowing at the midnight noon.
Encendidos en el mediodía nocturno...

Otra idea:

Durante toda la noche, a mi alma le ronda
un sueño, de otros mares, de otros días (le añadiría "mares", para tener cierta consistencia de ritmo silábico, y por estar en la isla, tal vez nos podríamos permitir una licencia poético-traductoril...)
