The lack of alternatives drives millions of families into the arms of Buy Here Pay Here dealers. This my intention: La falta de alternativas conducen a millones de familias entre los brazos de (¿una especie de financiaria del concesionario?) "Buy Here Pay Here concesionarias/consecionarios. ¿A "las garras" de los concesionarios, dices? ("A los brazos" me parece bien, "las garras" era broma.)
Asumo que el "Compre Aquí, Pague Aquí" se usa por oposición al procedimiento más común de comprar un auto en la concesionaria pero pagarle el crédito a una institución financiera (supuestamente) con una tasa de interés menor... (?)

Me parece que el término buy here/pay here no es muy común. Si entiendo la frase correctamente, el término preferido es pay with cash brick-and-mortor store.

@poli: The term 'buy here/pay here' is used principally by car dealerships. It means that you can both buy a car and finance it through them. These places are mainly used by people with bad or poor credit that would be turned down at other dealerships. The term is widely used.
I wouldn't advise going to these places, however, as you'll most likely pay through the nose for finance charges. There are institutions elsewhere who will lend money, with much less interest, to those with bad or poor credit. |
