Bienvenido Niño....

Y solo para elaborar en lo que escribió Sosia, "El Niño" es tambien responsable por los problemas del clima en varios países.

Just to add to Sosia's comments about "El Niño", it is also a phenomenom that causes havoc in our climate!

Gracias a todos! por las ofertas de bienvenidos y ayuda y amistad. Seguro los necesitaré.

I did not know that a fútbol player and a golfer were called "El Niño"! I had forgotten about the warm ocean pattern of the same name.

Actually, I do have a quick question: I am trying to get a handle on the usage of 'ya' (which seems to be used in a lot of different ways ), but when Croalito's correction says "...siento por cometer errores pero mi Español es muy pobre aun..." could 'ya' been similarly as 'aun'. I'm not familiar with 'aun' at all, but they seem to have some overlapping meanings.

edit: Cool, PlanetHopper! I just looked up 'tio'; I didn't know it also meant "guy" (and "old man" jajaja!)

Hey, dude, tio does not mean old man, it's just guy, lad. Out of this context means uncle....

Un niño que tenemos en el recuerdo es Billy el niño, we like US romantic symbols

Another one for the thread, the feminine

La niña de mis ojos= pun, also means the pupil in your eyes / my sweetheart
