Are these translations correct

It also has a large soft rug where I sit and listen to music or read.
Tiene una alfombra grande y suave donde yo sentar y esucho o leo.

There is also a large open kitchen and a dining room. The dining room has a large table with many chairs and French doors that open onto the porch.
También hay una cocina amplia y un comedor. En el comedor hay una mesa grande con muchas sillas y puertas francesas que abren a el porche.

No estoy seguro de puerta francesa , there might be a different way to say it

Sentarse is reflexive To sit

there are two contractions in spanish, a + el = al and de + el = del
so in that case its still masculine you´re using a contraction
It´s like that so it can be pronounced easier and faster

Rusty has a spectacular aura aboutRusty has a spectacular aura about
que da al porche (a + el = al)
que da a la terraza
= that opens to the porch
Or, you can use 'que se abre a la/al'. Note that 'French doors' isn't plural in Spanish.

French doors = (depending on region) puerta ventana, ventana francesa, cristalera, puerta francesa

y una puerta francesa

También hay una alfrombra ... donde me siento y escucho música o leo.

I think it's more common "en el comedor hay" que "el comedor tiene".
