The part that makes it sound like "'Kay" is the rising inflection indicating it's a question. But, ironically, that's also the part that lets her figure out I'm saying "¿Que?" instead. It just is close enough that she usually has to pause for a second before she figures it out.

I believe he's saying to pronounce the "eh" sound more when saying "Que", to distinguish it from the "Kay" sound of "K".

I understand that you are trying to tell me, but I don't believe that the word Queh sound better than Que, because in Spanish the word H is mute, therefore is the same if you says Que or Queh.

They are very useful in a chat room but they are not correct in itself structure, I mean, I don't believe correct use them.

I agree with the others that the spelling "k" would only be used when texting or in chat rooms.

I agree with you. SMS language must be reserved to the mobile messages, since we're here for learning languages, and this type of language can provoke confusion in a foreign speaker (at least, this is my case)

Are there people who uses that letter as a way to speak with other person in the cellular, I saw the text messages of other person who has sent me much messages with that kind to letter and really sometimes it's hard to understand.

People use SMS language in mobile phones because there is few space to write. But I don't like to find this language in forums, because you have enough space to write. Sometimes I don't understand it, either, although I use it when writing an SMS message. Do you know that even in exams some students use SMS language? Such language makes poor our own languages.
