Personal 'a'

Personal 'a'

Im trying to say, "At 9 in the morning, my alarm clock wakes me."

I think it is this:
A las nueve en la manana, mi despertador despierta yo.

am i supposed to have a personal 'a' before yo to make it:
A las nueve en la manana, mi despertador despierta a yo.

or do i have it completely wrong or right?
