What´s the difference between rely on and trust?
I know they are synonyms but is there a collocational difference or something?

You can depend on someone that you don't trust. This, of course, is a perilous situation.

I agree with poli.
Depend on, rely on, rely upon are synonyms meaning contar con, depender de. To trust means confiar en, tener confianza en, confiar de, etc.
