Veterinarian hospital
If I am delayed ‘by’ the vet, I will call you:
(vet = person) If I am delayed ‘at’ the vet’s, I will call you: Si me ratraso ‘en’ el veterinario, te llamaré. (vet’s = hospital or examination room) Can we still use ‘veterinario’ in the second Spanish sentence? |

Yes, we can. The whole sentence should be something like "en el consultorio del veterinario", but it's very well understood that you're talking about the place, not the person.
We do this very often: - Me pasé toda la tarde en el doctor. -> la sección de libros y revistas *Sanborns is a department store in Mexico. And a spelling note: the verb is retrasar, so "si me retraso".
