Calcinado
I hear the word used in a way that may mean burnt out as in a building destroyed by fire. Did I hear this correctly

Yes, "calcinado" means "totally burnt" or "without leaving anything standing" always referred to a fire. "Arrasado" can mean the latter one but it's more general.

I agree with Julvenzor, "calcinado" is reduced to ashes.
