How to say "Given name"
I've looked for this but I can't find an answer, how can I say given name or christian name or first name in Spanish?

Re: How to say "Given name"
"nombre de pila" should do the job...

Re: How to say "Given name"
Nombre de pila is fine, if I remember right, it's more usual in Spain than in other areas. Also, remember that nombre actually means first name in and of itself. There's no confusion with your last name since last name is apellido.

Another option could be primer nombre.

Re: How to say "Given name"
Never "primer nombre". At least in Spain.
"Nombre de pila" is the only expression I've used. "pila" refers to the water recipient of a catholic baptism ceremony. |
