As Rusty states, it certainly is an unusual thing to say.
Here's an example. Someone is going on a one week trip and excitedly states, I'm taking three pairs of shoes, several suits, two laptops and my dog Their friend may say in a wry manner, Well, don't forget to bring yourself along
