Lightbulb Operación ambulatoria

Operación ambulatoria es cuando se le opera a alguien en el hospital, y se le da de alta nada más terminada la operación, no duerme en el hospital ni una noche.

Usually we call them Minor surgery or Outpatient surgery... or simply OUTPATIENT referring to the person just operated.

ENGLISH?
This would be an "Outpatient" operation in England. A few years ago I had a minor operation in hospital. Then I went home on a bus. This was done in the Outpatients' department.

Well............

I hope you meant Day Surgery as I had suggested in my other response.

Day Hospital is a term we use to describe a mental health outpatient program. The patient (MI) attends a program for 5-6 hours a day, 5 days/week. Usually the patient is not "bad" enough to need inpatient care but sick enough to need more than the usual outpatient appointments which may be as far apart as every 3 months.

A Day Hospital program usually involves group therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, and medication.
