I'm not sure "-ripiente" is Spanish.
There is -ante (for verbs ending with -ar) and -ente/-iente (for verbs ending with -er and -ir), like in: - cantar -> cantante - atacar -> atacante - irritar -> irritante - demandar -> demandante - emerger -> emergente - exceder -> excedente - repeler -> repelente - depender -> dependiente - adherir -> adherente - vivir -> viviente - salir -> saliente - constituir -> constituyente Not every verb takes the suffix, and there are other cases where the suffix is present but I'm not sure about the root, like in: latente, expectante, excelente, maloliente, decadente... Finally, I think the word you're looking for with "horror" is "horripilante". According to the DRAE, it comes from the verb "horripilar", which I've never found conjugated, by the way.
