Formas verbales en oración con locuciones múltiples

Supongo que mi ensayo fue demasiado larga para que alguien quiera corregirlo.
Espero que me hicieran/hagan el favor de avisarme sobre algunas partes, tal como el siguiente frase larga.

Quiero decir:
If I must choose something, I would have to say that I wish that I would have had a video camera when I gave birth to my daughter.

¿Qué tal esto?
Si necesito escojer algo, tendría que decir que espero que hubiera tenido
(that's gotta be wrong) una videocámara cuando daba la luz a mi hija.

Con gracias aticipadas.

Espero que me
hagan (this is correct - the subject changed, so it's proper to use a noun clause as the direct object and the clause should be cast in the subjunctive mood)
el favor de avisarme sobre algunas partes, tal como la (agreement) siguiente frase larga.

Si debo (matches the English modal) escojer (algo)(not necessary),
tendría que decir (que)(not necessary)
espero haber tenido (the subject doesn't change, so the infinitive acts as the direct object instead of the noun clause that requires the subjunctive)
una videocámara cuando daba la luz a mi hija.

Con gracias anticipadas.
Had the subject changed where I noted that it hadn't, 'hubiera tenido' would have been the correct conjugation in the noun clause that required the subjunctive.

Thanks a million!
So, can I also say the following?

Si tengo que escojer tendría que decir espero haber tenido una videocámera cuando daba la luz a mi hija.

or

Si hay que escojer...

Gracias

They're OK.

I think, though, now that I'm looking at what I said, that I would change the mood in the main clause and do something different in the subordinate clause.
Let's try this and see what the native speakers say about it.

If I had to choose, = Si tuviera que escoger,
I would have to say that = tendría que decir que
having had a video camera ... = haber tenido una videocámara ... -or-
having a video camera ... = tener una videocámara ...

Forzada a elegir, tendría que decir que hubiera deseado tener un videocámara cuando di a luz a mi hija (as a standalone sentence)

Forzada a elegir, tendría que decir que no me faltaron ganas de tener una videocámara cuando di a luz a mi hija (within the context of your "essay")
