Boy scout con veinte duros

Hola!

20 duros = 100 pesetas
100 pesetas = 0.60 Euros, i.e a pittance, very little

Thank you, Ambarina. So, if I understand well, it's a broke boy scout of marxism leninism?

I may be a bit late Elisatas but I didn't understand it that way.
I understood that "el Che" was considered a boy scout with little to no marxism leninism ideals, i.e. the 20 duros describes the amount of marxism leninism not that el Che was broke.

Agree with the girls

Che was a young traveler idealist (a boy scout) with a little amount (veinte duros , a pound) of marxism.
Saludos

Based on these most recent comments, I might translate it something like this:

Che, a young idealist with a touch of Marxism.
Che, a young, slightly Marxist adventurer.
