Anyone know how I would say self-referential in Spanish? (as in, "A la izquierda, se ve Velázquez y el lienzo en que está pintando "Las Meninas." Por eso, el cuadro también es un autorretrato, y es extrañamente [self-referential].") Thanks!

I am sure what you mean is self reverential, because his self-portrait in the Meninas is certainly self reverential and rightfully so. Entonces la palabra que busca es auto-reverencial.
