Significa cuando la administración de una empresa es mala, tampoco sirven bien los suboridantes. ¿Hay un dicho en español igual?

¿Puede ser "algo huele mal"? También se usa en política, cuando algo "huele mal" en algún partido. También en asociaciones, etc.

Por ejemplo: "esta decisión que ha tomado el jefe me huele mal" (creo que hay algo oculto en ella o que tiene oscuras intenciones).

Alguien aquí me dijo "el pez por la cabeza hiede", pero nadie más que conozco lo conoce o lo usaría.

Quizás algo como "A mal amo, mal criado".

en vez de subordinantes se dice subordinados.

El pez se corrompe/hiede/atufa por la cabeza.
Su cabeza es lo que primero se corrompe, por lo que se debe tirar el pez.
Precisamente, si la administración de la empresa no funciona, sus dependientes sufrirán las consecuencias.
