Ayuda de traducción

Hola.

Como he traducido actualmente: "A lot has been said about Retana in the meetings us 'hacks', and we were all familiar with Desenganos temper, pero a mayor... on March 23rd, an article was published in la Oceania with the headline 'Quien have un cesto' (el titulo es tan largo y el author no lo incluso completamente, ask no puedo traducirlo), where he clears up what happened, saying:"

Gracias.

Hola,

I'm not a Spanish mother tongue, but Italian, anyway I think that the meaning of what you asked for is something like the follow:

but for a better proof of what said, let's meet/know the guys of the press/who wrote the article/the journalists

My problem is English, but it's something like "but, if hard proof was needed about what we, the youngest players in journalism, already knew... (this happened)"

mayor prueba = more evidence + confirming evidence + documentary evidence (more volume of proof, more quality of proof, proof tending to irrefutableness -that's why "mayor" and not simply "más", and "mayor prueba" instead of "prueba mayor"-)
