I’m looking for a different way to express the sentence below. It has been taken from the paragraph underneath. My attempt is below in bold italics. Is it grammatically correct? Any other suggestions would be very helpful.
Ellas por su parte prefieren dedicarse a … A las mujeres les gustaría más bien trabajar en… En el caso de los hombres, las carreras que ocupan las 10 primeras posiciones son las de policía, militar, deportista profesional, médico, profesor, mecánico, piloto, campesino, transportista o informático. Ellas por su parte prefieren dedicarse a la medicina, la docencia, la estética, la peluquería, o a ser dependientas, veterinarias, abogadas, psicólogas o modistas. |

Grammatically correct but it's not saying the same. Sort of "becoming a doctor" turned into "working in health care".
