Lost in translation

I am picking up Spanish from my friends and coworkers. This is something one of them told me. I tried using google in a pinch, but I think it must be losing something in the translation because it makes no sense to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This doesn't make sense. You may not have heard it incorrectly. Any attempt of trying to figure out what Jairo said would be conjecture, but conjecturally...
Jairo said that you're such a pariah that not even HIV would go near you.

Great job, poli, you surely nailed it! I looked and looked without figuring it out myself. And welcome to the Forums, SamB
