Question In this case, le or la?

People,

Please consider the following sentence.

"En el pasado, a la mujer, no se la permitía relacionarse libremente con hombres."

Is the objective pronoun "la" correct? Or should it be "le" because it is the indirect object?

Thanks!

An indirect object pronoun should be used.
