Practico (en español)
¡Hola! Necesito practicar mi español.
La semana pasada, fui a Mexico con un grupo de mi iglesia. Ayudamos construir una iglesia y una casa. Jugamos con los niños tambien [acento?]. Algun veces, ayudé con la Cruz Roja. Hay dos o tres interpretes cada día, pero quise hablar español con las personas [o 'la gente'?]. (Yo aprovechaba el diccionario, ¡pero por verbos solo! ¿Es bueno?)

Quiero practicar español, pero no tengo mucha confidencia hablar con alguien. Tambien no sé muchas palabras. Tengo que aprender mucho más. Soy novata. Aprecio la oportunidad practicar español. Gracias.

I'd go with soy novata/principiante etc. Any native speakers got my back on this one? I think it would be the same rule as soy doctor, soy albañil, soy americano, soy hombre, soy escritor etc.
