Acuidar

Hi,

There are two sentences, with translation:

Nadie acuidó a ayudarlo.
No one came to help.

¿Era posible que nadie acuidese en su ayuda? ¿Nadie en absoluto?
Was it possible that no one would remember to help him? None at all?

The verb acuidar seems to be nonexistent, though. What is it?
